Born from the creative minds behind House of Red Doors, Lunacy Berlin is not a single event but a constellation, a shifting collection of artistic experiences, sensual explorations, and experimental nights that together form what its creators call the Luniverse. Each chapter has its own identity, its own atmosphere, its own mood. What stays constant is the world they build around it.
The latest chapter is BLOOM, celebrated on the new moon of May 28th at Renate Berlin. The timing is intentional. As the blossoms open and Berlin's streets fill with color, Lunacy invites its guests to do the same: to open, to grow, to arrive at something they didn't expect. The new moon as reset. The party as ritual.
What makes House of Lunacy distinctive is not just the aesthetic, though the installations, the props, the carefully built environments are not decoration, they are architecture for experience. What makes it distinctive is the seriousness with which it holds space for its guests.
Before every event, the house rules are read aloud. Not as a formality. As a reminder of what this space is built on. Consent is not a poster on the wall here, it is announced, repeated, and enforced. No means no. Yes can become no. You do not touch without asking. You do not intrude without permission. You do not outstay your welcome. The awareness team, hand-picked, experienced, wearing green high-vis, moves through the space all night, present and reachable. Every member of staff is connected. No one is left to manage things alone.
This is what a genuinely sex-positive space looks like in practice. Not permissive in the lazy sense, anything goes, figure it out yourself, but permissive in the real sense: a room where you can actually be free because the structure around you is trustworthy. Where you can explore because you know the boundaries are held.
House of Lunacy has established itself in the fabric of the city precisely because it takes this seriously.
