Punx n Kweenz turn their long-running queer punk cabaret into a full festival, taking over Neue Zukunft for two nights of femme-led punk, drag, noise and live art.
It is not a headliner-plus-support structure. It is a micro-universe.
Bands and drag artists share the same stage, cover songs sit next to originals, and the line between band and performer stays deliberately porous.
A collective, not a lineup
Punx n Kweenz have been running as a drag punk cabaret since 2019, built around a rotating cast of Berlin performers: Bleach, Nancy Nutter, Mad Kate, Anita Drink, Rosa Peligrosa, Pull Out Boy, Turbobiiitch, Fibi Eyewalker and more.
The collective moves between clubs, festivals and DIY venues. Schokoladen, Cloud Cuckoo at Fusion, Neue Zukunft. Same energy, different rooms.
Sword-swallowing next to punk sets, cheesy covers next to original songs, drag numbers next to noise. The show is designed to overflow its own categories.
Two nights, one expanded universe
Across the festival weekend, bands and performers orbit the central Punx n Kweenz show, building a dense ecosystem of femme-led punk, drag and live art.
You are not just hearing individual acts. You are hearing whole scenes fold into each other.
Neue Zukunft, with its garage room, courtyard and multiple stages, is built for that kind of overflow.
Tickets as social ritual
Tickets are deliberately old-school. The first presale dates at Exit Berlin on Wienerstraße offer the cheapest prices, and everyone who buys there receives a limited-edition Punx n Kweenz debut EP tape.
Only a very small number of online tickets are reserved for people travelling from further away. Locals are invited to get their tickets face to face, hand to hand, keeping sales as part of the social ritual.
The ticket itself becomes part of the community loop, not just a transaction.
Queer punk as a way of being together
The language around these nights insists on mess, emotion and excess. Explosive energy in the underground queer universe expanding, as the collective frames it.
Queer punk here is not a genre tag. It is a way of being together: loud, femme, drag-inflected, mutually accountable, refusing to be tidied up for external consumption.

Berlin's queer nightlife is often reduced to techno and cruising. Punx n Kweenz sit in a different lineage: DIY punk, drag cabaret, feminist noise, live-art traditions that pre-date the current club economy.
Documenting the festival means documenting a scene that keeps its own accounting, sells its own tickets, and prints its own tapes.
